About the Office
The Office of New Student and Family Programs was created in the fall of 1993 to help new students find success at Radford University. Starting in 1979 with Quest, Radford University’s new student orientation program, New Student and Family Programs has expanded its outreach programs to include UNIV 100 and UNIV 150. UNIV 100 is our one-credit transition course while UNIV 150 is our one-credit course for students on Academic Probation.
One of the side benefits of our work with new students is the selection, training, and supervision of hundreds of outstanding student leaders. From Quest Assistants to Peer Instructors, Parent Orientation Guides to Peer Mentors, New Student and Family Programs has served as a home for many student leaders who assist us in helping new students find success here at Radford University!
