Study Spaces

“Find Your Spot” isn’t just a slogan. You really can find your spot while you’re visiting McConnell Library.

Silent Study

Need quiet space? Level 5 and Information Literacy Center A on Level 3 are for silent study. Try a table, study carrel, or one of our comfy chairs or bean bags.

Group Study

Need group work space? Try Level 4, Level 3, Level 2, Level 1, the Harvey Center, or Information Literacy Center B.

Need more private group space? There are six small group study rooms on Level 2, available on a first-come first-served basis. Each study room has a table, chairs, and a whiteboard. Alternatively, you may reserve the Bird Room by calling Library Administration at 540-831- 5471.

 Media:Scape Study Stations

Got a project on your handheld device, and need to work on it with your group? Try one of our media:scape study stations. You can plug in your laptop, tablet or smartphone, and it will be projected in large format on a screen, so that your group can work on the project together. You can even reserve a media:scape in advance.

You can check out our media:scape stations online if accessing from on campus.
