Student Advisory Boards
Two student advisory boards work to make our wonderful libraries even more responsive to our patrons’ wants and needs. Our student advisors plan and assist with many library and university events and projects, such as surveys, user feedback, welcome tables, bulletin boards, and more. Members are selected through an application process and represent many facets of Radford University’s student population. McConnell’s Student Library Advisory Board (McSLAB) formed in 2011, and in 2021, Radford University Carilion Library initiated its advisory board, the Student Advisory Team (STAT).
Student advisors receive a stipend each semester that they complete all requirements for attending meetings and working on service projects. New members are selected at the beginning of fall and spring semesters.
