#1 - Attend an Athletic Event

With 15 Division I athletic teams and countless intramural sports, there is a game to watch for a fan of nearly any sport!
#2 - Participate in a Research Project

Participating in research projects helps you develop skills that will benefit you in your future career or in graduate education.
#3: Pull an All-Nighter in Young Hall

Young Hall is open 24 hours a day during the academic year. It's a great place to study alone or collaborate with friends.
#4 - Have Your Family Visit for Family Weekend

Every fall, Radford University hosts Family Weekend, which is a great time for your family to visit campus and explore Radford.
#5 - Attend a Visual and Performing Arts Production

The College of Visual and Performing Arts offers dozens of opportunities to catch a play, dance performance, recital, fashion show and more.
#6 - Have a Snowball Fight

While major snowfalls are relatively rare in Radford, when they do happen, students flock to the Quads for snowball fights.
#7 - Visit the Selu Observatory

Selu Observatory is free and open to the public every clear Friday night.
#8 - Attend a Major Concert

Attend a concert in the fall or spring! Radford University hosts some of the biggest names in the music industry. Some past performers include Taylor Swift, Billy Joel, Ludacris and O.A.R.
#9 - Canoe on the New River

Radford University's location on the New River offers recreational opportunities including tubing, fishing, kayaking and more.
#10 - Take a Selfie with the Highlander

Get a selfie with the Highlander ... because the Highlander is awesome!
#11 - Go on an Outdoors Adventure

Outdoor Program is the adventure programming component of the campus recreation program at Radford University.
#12 - Volunteer in the Community

Volunteer! There’s no better way to get acquainted with the City of Radford community.
#13 - Climb the Rock Wall in Peters Hall

The rock wall in Peters Hall is free with a student ID!
#14 - Play Pool in the Bonnie Game Room

The Game Room in the Bonnie Hurlburt Student Center has pool tables, a bowling alley, board games and cards.
#15 - Take in a Show at the Planetarium

The Radford University Planetarium is open during the fall and spring semesters when Radford University is open. All shows are free and everyone is welcome.
#16 - Meet a Radford University Squirrel (but don't get bit!)

You'll probably complete this item your first week of school. Radford squirrels are legendary!
