7am - 9pm Alumni Access and Self-guided Tour Recreation and Wellness Center Take a self-guided tour or bring your gym bag for free alumni access to the Recreation and Wellness Center during Homecoming! Check-in at the front desk and complete your waiver to workout. All guests must be 18+ years of age, or accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.   
7:30am - 6pm University Bookstore Dalton Hall Stop by to replenish your Radford University wardrobe or get a new Radford tumbler! Radford alumni will receive a 15% discount coupon at the Alumni Homecoming Check-In at Russell Hall.  
10am - 12pm BB&T and Davis College Innovation Challenge Poster Session Kyle Hall, 2nd Floor Foyer The BB&T and Davis College of Business and Economics Innovation Challenge is open to all students at Radford University. Student teams compete for prize money and other resources to bring their ideas to fruition. At the poster session, alumni are invited to talk to teams about their innovation problems they seek to solve and give them feedback.   
10am - 5pm RU Art Museum Covington Center Featured display is the Dorothy Gillespie Centennial Celebration.  
10am - 5pm Adjunct Faculty Art Show Tyler Ave. Art Gallery, 214 Tyler Ave.  Tour the new Tyler Ave. Art Gallery and be amazed by our talented faculty!  
10:30am - 12pm State of the
University by President Hemphill
Preston Hall, Bondurant Auditorium All alumni, students, faculty, staff, and community members are invited to the keynote address by President Brian O. Hemphill on the University's progress over the last year and future plans.  
12pm - 1:30pm Alumni Volunteer Leadership Business Lunch and Awards * Kyle Hall, Room 340 Annual luncheon for alumni and friends who serve in volunteer leadership roles at Radford University; recognition of 2019 Alumni Award recipients. Special guest speaker will be Rebekah LaPlante '99, M.S. '01, Senior Associate Director of Admissions. Online registration for this event is closed. Please call 540-831-5248 for availability.

3:30pm STEM Career Panel Center for the Sciences, M73 A panel of Radford University Alumni will gather to share their experiences with careers in the STEM fields.  
4pm Golden History from the 60s McConnell Library, ILC-B (Room 380) Join Dean of Libraries, Steve Helm, for a discussion of important events happening on campus and the nation during the late 1960s. The Radford College campus was on the verge of tremendous changes during this time period, along with significant national events. Treasures from the University Archives will be available to view from this time period.  
4:15 - 7:15pm Alumni Dinner at Dalton $* Dalton Dining Hall Alumni families and reunion groups can refuel from their road trip back to campus at Radford's Dalton Dining Hall. Dine early or dine late to experience the wonderful cuisine options that our current students enjoy. $14 at the door. RSVPs are encouraged for food preparation.
 
5 - 7pm College of Humanities and Behavioral Sciences Outstanding Alumni Awards and Reception CHBS, Quad Side Atrium This reception, hosted by the dean and faculty of the college, offers the opportunity to stop by the building, congratulate the 2019 CHBS Alumni Award recipient, and network with fellow alumni and friends! Complimentary refreshments will be provided.   
6pm Volleyball vs. USC Upstate Dedmon Center Let’s go Highlanders! Catch the women’s volleyball team in action! This Big South matchup is “set” to be a great game!  
6pm RU Baseball Red & White World Series Game #5 Dedmon Center Complex, Sherman Carter Memorial Stadium Baseball alumni should RSVP here: Homecoming Weekend 2019 Baseball Activities. If you have any questions, contact KC Regis at 540-831-7667. If the forecast is questionable, the game could be moved to Saturday.

9 - 11am College of Education and Human Development Legacy Breakfast: Tribute to the Class of 1969  * Peters Hall, Teaching Resource Center Interim Dean Tamara Wallace invites the Class of 1969and all CEHD alumni to a breakfast celebrating the rich history and dynamic future of the College of Education and Human Development. Reminisce with fellow alumni, and hear from current students about fresh College initiatives, including Radford’s newest living-learning community, The Schoolhouse.

10am Admissions Open House *  Preston Hall, Bondurant Auditorium Open Houses are open to all prospective students and families that are starting the college search. Participants have the opportunity to meet academic faculty, learn more about campus involvement, meet current students, and receive one-on-one help with the admissions application. Register online with the Office of Admissions.  
10am - 12pm Venture Lab Tour  Kyle Hall, First Floor The Radford University Venture Lab is a bridge between idea and market... a mechanism to help integrate RU students, faculty, staff, and external partners into the entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem. Stop by to meet Dr. Steve Childers and tour the new facility designed to help build ideas that matter. Lab entrance is located on the bottom level of Kyle Hall, near Calhoun St. and Parking Lot M.   
10am - 2pm Museum of the Earth Sciences  Center for the Sciences, Room M64 Fossils, Rocks, and Bones OH MY! Enjoy your self-guided tour through the Museum of the Earth Sciences.   
10:30am Children's Planetarium Show * Center for the Sciences, Room M75 Aimed towards the Little Highlanders, alumni and friends are invited on a trip through the stars. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Sponsored by the Physics Department.  
11am - 4pm RU Art Museum Covington Center, Art Museum Featured display is the Dorothy Gillespie Centennial Celebration Exhibition. Dr. Arbury will give introductory remarks about the exhibition at 11:15 am.

12pm - 1:30pm Women of Radford Luncheon $* Kyle Hall, Room 340 Reminisce about Radford's history as an all-women's school and celebrate the RU women of today. Attire is dressy casual, and you are encouraged to wear your hats and pearls. Best hat wins a prize. This year's event is sponsored by Warm Hearth Village. Parking available in Lots J and HH. Special guest speaker will be Caitlyn L. Scaggs '07, Radford University Associate Vice President for University Relations, and her message will be "Shine Across the Seasons." 2 - 4pm Anual Beatrice Covington Breast Cancer Walk $ Moffett Lawn Sidewalks Hosted by Zeta Tau Alpha  
2 - 4pm Tours of The Schoolhouse Living and Learning Community Moffett Hall, Lobby Radford University's powerful reputation for preparing highly effective educators goes back to the institution's founding in 1910. The Schoolhouse Living and Learning Community, open to future teachers of all disciplines, immerses students in their calling to become knowledgable, globally competent, community-focused, equity-centered educators. Drop in for light refreshments; meet faculty and aspiring teachers who are experience this innovative opportunity.  
2 - 6pm Alumni Village * Moffett Lawn (rain or shine) All alumni and families celebrate at the Alumni Village, made possible by our affinity sponsor Nationwide Insurance! It's the largest event of the weekend, so don't miss this one! This year will include a free concert by 80's tribute band The Deloreans! Wear your best 80's outfit and let's rock out on Moffett Lawn!

  • Totally RAD VIP Experience $* - Purchase your tickets in advance to have access to the VIP Experience Tent that will include food, beverages, and prime location to view The Deloreans. Registration for this event is separate from the general free Alumni Village activities.
  • Parade of Tents - affinity student groups and campus departments can request a small tent, table, and chairs to decorate and showcase their school spirit for their returning alumni! The Highlander Spirit Rock will be presented at the lacrosse halftime to the winner. Please contact the Office of Alumni Relations to reserve your spot.
 
2 - 6pm Totally RAD VIP Experience $* Moffett Lawn, VIP
The TOTALLY RAD VIP Experience will sell out and alumni are encouraged to purchase early! Each ticket includes the following:  access to the VIP tent with seating, an exclusive viewing area for The Deloreans, a signature tasting glass for adults, four unique craft beer tastings from Blue Ridge Beverage, one complimentary ticket to the private beverage truck (beer/wine available for purchase with cash), unlimited non-alcoholic beverages, complimentary BBQ tastebud teasers, and retro '80s sunglasses! Must be 21 or older and a non-Radford University student to consume alcohol. Online registration is closed for this event. Price at the gate is $30 for adults, $20 for minors. Youth 5 and under admitted free. A limited number of tickets will be sold (first come, first served basis). Radford prize pack for the best-dressed guest in '80s-themed attire!

Hemphill and First Lady Marisela Rosas Hemphill. Classmates will reconnect, induct the newest class into the prestigious Golden Reunion Society, and celebrate fond memories at Radford.
