Harris Public Safety and Professional Communications (PSPC) is going through a digital transformation.  The teams are focused on how to best use technology to increase throughput and margin.  This position will focus on improving how Harris tracks proposals throughout the lifecycle and how to automatically visualize this information to drive business intelligence.  Currently the business utilizes a Microsoft Access database and the goal is to migrate this tool to Sharepoint 2013 and use Tableau for data visualization. This position will be reporting into the PSPC Project Management Office.  The expected work demand will be 10-15 hours per week.  It is strongly advised that candidates do not have over 15 credit hours scheduled for the semester.

Job Responsibilities

- Utilize UML methodologies to document system requirements (ERD, DFD, etc.)

- Document and Develop a data migration plan

- Design, document and develop Sharepoint 2013 workflows to meet business needs

- Create Tableau dashboards to drive data visualization and accelerated business intelligence

- Deploy the new system and participate in Beta testing

Basic Qualifications

- Graduating Senior or Junior in a Technical 4-year degree (CS, IS)

- 1-2 years experience with UML design methodologies

- 1-2 years experience developing software


Preferred Qualifications

- Tableau experience

- Sharepoint experience
