Dr. William E. Amos
Corporate Vice President of GE Predix and Industrial Applications

Eddie leads development and delivery of GE Digital’s portfolio of Predix-powered applications and solutions for improving industrial insights and productivity. Since joining GE Digital via its acquisition of Meridium, Eddie has focused on digital products ranging from manufacturing solutions to Asset Performance Management (APM) applications and other technologies that allow customers to digitize their operations and unlock unprecedented productivity.
Prior to leading Meridium by GE Digital, Eddie was the Vice President of Developer Marketing and Evangelism at Juniper Networks. His team was responsible for the marketing, strategy and external evangelism of Junos and the Junos Space Platform. During his tenure, the group launched the Juniper Developer Network and increased the number of active developers by more than 500%. Other accomplishments included the creation of a scalable interactive online community and marketplace.
Before Juniper, he was a Partner and General Manager of the Developer Platform and Tools group at Microsoft. Here his team was responsible for strategy, evangelism, planning and marketing for products like Visual Studio, Expression, .NET, IIS and Silverlight. He also managed teams at Microsoft that focused on the technical enablement of the Global Independent Software Vendor (ISV) community.
Amos has served as Vice President of Business Technology at webMethods. His team focused on complex enterprise integration problems and supported the efforts of the ISV Community. He has also worked in the Product Management Group at Lotus Development, as an Information Architect for GSA, and in Network Security and Systems procurement for the U.S. Navy. He enjoys coding, development methodologies (SDLC, Waterfall and Agile), Program Management and delivering projects on time, within budget. Eddie is a pilot, sailer and a amateur radio operator in his spare time.
