REAL General Education Curriculum
The REAL general education curriculum consists of Foundational, Cornerstone, and REAL Competency requirements.
Foundational Requirements
- Foundational Writing: ENGL 111 - Principles of College Composition (3 credit hours)
- Foundational Math: MATH 125 - Precalculus I (3 credit hours)
Cornerstone Requirements
- Writing Intensive Courses (6 credit hours). Three credit hours must be at the 300/400 level. Writing Intensive courses are designated as WI in the undergraduate catalog. In the Davis College, MKTG 201 - Critical Inquiry in Marketing is a Writing Intensive course.
REAL Competency Requirements
All students pursuing the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree fulfill the R, A, and L areas of the REAL Curriculum. To fulfill the E (Humanistic or Artistic Expression) coompetency, students must either:
- complete an E-designated minor or
- take 15 credit hours of E-designated courses
