REAL General Education Curriculum

 

The REAL general education curriculum consists of Foundational, Cornerstone, and REAL Competency requirements.

Foundational Requirements

  • Foundational Writing: ENGL 111 - Principles of College Composition (3 credit hours)
  • Foundational Math: MATH 125 - Precalculus I (3 credit hours)

Cornerstone Requirements

  • Writing Intensive Courses (6 credit hours).  Three credit hours must be at the 300/400 level.  Writing Intensive courses are designated as WI in the undergraduate catalog.  In the Davis College, MKTG 201 - Critical Inquiry in Marketing is a Writing Intensive course.

REAL Competency Requirements

All students pursuing the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree fulfill the R, A, and L areas of the REAL Curriculum.  To fulfill the E (Humanistic or Artistic Expression) coompetency, students must either:
