Join us for a month-long celebration highlighting what we love most about our alma mater. Highlanders from across the globe are encouraged to participate through on-campus and virtual events! Highlights include:

VOLUNTEER SUMMIT | Saturday, February 5, 2022

Learn how easy it is to be a volunteer! All alumni and friends are invited.

The summit is free and includes lunch. Alumni attendees will also receive two general admission tickets to the men's and women's basketball games. Volunteer Summit participants who attend the basketball games can enhance their experience with a Highlander Hospitality pass.

* The Volunteer Summit will be a collection point for the Career Closet. The Career Closet provides free professional business attire to Radford University students. You can make a difference to a student by donating clean, new or gently used professional apparel.

Friday, February 4 6 p.m. Inaugural “Champion Her Future” Leadership Dinner $ Join Radford Athletics as they host the Inaugural “Champion Her Future” Leadership Dinner. The goal of this initiative is to engage and activate a network of Highlanders who will assist in providing professional and personal development and mentorship opportunities for our female student-athletes, while also delivering resources for our 10 women's sport programs to ensure future success on and off the fields and courts of play. Saturday, February 5 3 p.m. Highlander Hospitality Social $ The Highlander Club will host the Winter Celebration Basketball Game & Hospitality in conjunction with the weekend. Hospitality will take place on the south end zone in the Dedmon Center starting at 3 p.m. and will remain open until the 12:00 minute media timeout in the second half of the men's basketball game. This includes heavy hors d'oeuvres and cash bar.

Thursday, February 24 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Training The Center for Diversity and Inclusion will offer culturally responsive DEI trainings to the campus community once a month. These trainings are offered in-person and cover the topics of understanding privilege, allyship, advocacy, setting boundaries, and developing self-care routines to support these initiatives. Saturday, February 26 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. Highlander New River Polar Plunge $ Plunge into the New River to support Special Olympics! Radford University alumni, students, faculty and fans are encouraged to take the Highlander Challenge. Updated 2/24/22 to a Pool Plunge due to weather conditions.
