Davis College of Business and Economics honors alumnus Mike Donnelly ’88
Radford University’s Davis College of Business and Economics recognized alumnus Mike Donnelly '88 for his contributions and service to the university. Davis College Dean Joy Bhadury and Vice President for Advancement Wendy Lowery expressed their gratitude for Donnelly and his wife Gay’s commitment and generosity to Radford. Their gift to Radford will support student-focused initiatives in the Davis College.
“Radford alumni are valuable partners in the growth and opportunity that happens on our campus. We welcome their involvement and support of the University’s programs and students,” said Lowery.
Room 201 in Kyle Hall was named for Mike and Gay Donnelly. The space is a hub for student and faculty activity and is a tribute to Donnelly’s student-centered focus.
Donnelly shared that he was pleased with the growth that has occurred at Radford University. “It’s great to come back and see all of the good things that are happening here. It’s a bigger campus now, and the university continues to stay relevant in how it is educating students,” he said. “There’s a responsibility and privilege to give back. Radford University has done so much for me. My goal is to give back however I can.”
Donnelly graduated from Radford University with a bachelor’s degree in finance, a nationally recognized Radford program that is currently ranked #15 in the Study.com Top 50 Finance Schools in 2019. His career in banking spans nearly 30 years. Donnelly is the Regional Vice President for Wells Fargo Bank and resides in Atlanta, Ga.
