Hello future Highlanders! My name is Erin Sheehan. I am originally from Southern New Jersey (as you may be able to tell from my accent) and I graduated from Alvernia University- a small, private school in Pennsylvania, but I am currently a student here at Radford- pursuing a Master of Business Administration degree! I am the counselor for students residing in parts of Northern Virginia and the state of Florida.
In my time here at Radford, I have come to love everything about it- the area, the campus, and especially the people really make my job and classroom experiences enjoyable. Radford University is full of exciting opportunities that are definitely worth taking advantage of. It is not just a chance to further your education, but a chance to meet a variety of different people, make new memories, join clubs and organizations, travel abroad, and get a real-world education.
I love that I get to meet prospective students and their families from all over the country and no two conversations are ever the same. It is a great feeling to share all of the amazing things that Radford University can offer students, to ease their nerves about college life and to get them on the path to higher education. The biggest piece of advice I can offer to any student is to get involved in something that excites you. Whether it’s a sport, an academic interest, or something artistic, getting involved on campus will help you in more ways than you can imagine.
I am available to help you and your family throughout your college selection process. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. I look forward to meeting you soon!
