Greetings and salutations! My name is Jared O’Flaherty and I am thrilled to meet you! I am the Regional Assistant Director of Admissions for Radford University. I work remotely from Virginia Beach and will be serving the Tidewater/Hampton Roads area as this is where I live. I was born in Schenectady, New York (the real New York) and raised in Virginia Beach, Virginia. I graduated from Regent University with a Bachelors in Psychology and am on my way to a Masters in Counseling as we speak. 

I am thrilled to be part of this dynamic and incredible university. When I first came to Radford I was overwhelmed with its beauty and culture. There are diverse academic opportunities with a match for anyone's interest and campus that literally took my breath away. The emphasis on the student is unparalleled and it is a true honor to serve our students. I specialize in helping high schoolers and transfer students with their educational journey. 

I married my best friend, Fathom, and together we have a son, Jackson. I am a sports nut for the Washington Capitals, Boston Celtics, New York Yankees, and Indianapolis Colts! I am an avid surfer/beach bum and you can catch me at the beach when the swells are good and the tide is right! I am also a professional artist and have worked with the cities of Virginia Beach and Norfolk for public art murals, art exhibitions and festivals as well as running my own art brand, O’crylics. When I am not surfing or painting, I enjoy spending time with my wife and son and our two cats, Haiku and Gojira.

I have built a career out of helping solve problems and getting people to where they want to be. I can and want to help you and get you to where YOU want to be too.
