Hello! My name is Shayna Lyle, and I am from Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania (or, as you might know it, the home of the famous groundhog – Punxsutawney Phil!). I graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) with both my Bachelor of Science in English Education (’14), and my Master of Arts in Student Affairs in Higher Education (’17). I work with new freshmen students in Kentucky, Tennessee, & Northern Virginia.
I just recently started at Radford University, but the culture of the campus makes me feel like I have been a part of the close-knit Radford community for years. I see why students love our campus – the tightknit student culture, endless opportunities for personal and professional development and growth, and the overall community. Working in Admissions gives me the opportunity to connect with students and their families, as well as showing them everything Radford has to offer in order to be successful throughout college and after.
When I am not on campus, you’ll find me watching cooking shows (Chopped is my favorite) and mostly cuddling with my adorable cat, Kiara. I also enjoy working out, and outdoor activities such as canoeing, fishing, and floating the New River.
I am available to help you through your college search and decision process. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. I look forward to meeting you soon! Go Highlanders!
