Roanoke Higher Education Center
At the Roanoke Higher Education Center, Radford University offers undergraduate degree completion programs in Criminal Justice, Interdisciplinary Studies/Elementary Education, and Social Work. Students admitted into these programs usually first complete an appropriate Associate Degree at Virginia Western Community College or an equivalent degree at another Virginia community college. Many of the courses are offered face-to-face at the center, though some courses may be hybrid, online or available at the Radford campus.
The Bachelor of Science in Nursing, BSN, is also offered at the center and is open to both transfer students and previously admitted Radford students. An RN to BSN program is available for practicing RNs who wish to complete a BSN. This program is entirely online.
Radford University provides various student support services at the center for students in these programs. Students are also welcome to take advantage of services offered on the main campus in Radford.
Radford University also offers the MSW in Social Work at the Roanoke Higher Education Center. Graduate level courses are also available in Special Education.
The Roanoke Higher Education Center is located in downtown Roanoke.
