Our signature career events and fairs are designed to provide students with the opportunity to enhance their skills, develop a career goal, and network with career representatives from various fields.

    Career Development Workshops

    • The Fundamentals

      We strongly recommend starting with the “fundamentals.”  These workshops are uniquely developed for everyone, regardless of where you are in your career journey.  The workshops help you build a strong foundation and give you the simple tools to get started.

      • Your Career Roadmap
        In this workshop you will learn how to identify your strengths, determine your career interests and create a customized career development plan. This workshop incorporates interactive assessments and reflection exercises to explore who you are and who you desire to become.
      • Kick-Start My Search
        Demystify your search process by learning the simple steps and techniques to preparing for your next career move.  Whether you are seeking an internship, part-time job, dream job or graduate studies, this workshop will help you to navigate the search process with ease.

      We recommend these more focused workshops for students who have mastered the fundamentals and are seeking to implement specific aspects of their career plan.

      • LinkedIn 2.0
        In this workshop you will learn how to use LinkedIn to build your professional network, conduct employer research, and ultimately find your dream job.  This workshop will help you understand how a recruiter views your profile and the insider tips to help you stand out.
      • Scandal, Sabotage and Social Media: Managing Your Online Presence in the Age of Social Media
        Do you know if your social media is helping or sabotaging your image?  In this workshop you will learn how to create, clean up, and manage your online presence with social media tools, blogs, social audits and other emerging tools. 
      • The Art of the Modern Resume
        You will learn how to construct a resume that tells your story to an employer scanning it, in seconds.  This workshop will include best practices on format, translating your experience, interactive critiques and key words.
      • How to Master the Interview
        Deconstruct the interview process, with strategies for how to prepare before, during, and after the interview.  This workshop will include interactive interview practice and how new technologies and changing the interview process.
      • How to Prepare for Virtual Career and Networking Events
        Not sure how to navigate a virtual career event?  This workshop will walk you through the process, step by step.  We will begin by discovering how to find virtual events, setting up your profile, and registering to meet with employers in a variety of virtual settings.  You will learn to polish your virtual image, practice your elevator pitch, and build your virtual network.
