ESHE ADVISING
Beginning Spring, 2002, the Department of Exercise, Sport, and Health Education will provide four academic advisors for ESHE majors. Once students select their concentration they are encouraged to see their academic advisor as soon as possible.
Academic advising is the consultation with faculty about their academic career at RU. It primarily deals with issues of scheduling, registration, graduation, and specific program requirements. Academic advisors are trained to quickly and efficiently deal with these issues.
Career advising is the counseling with faculty concerning career choice, professional involvement, and career strategies. This may be done with any ESHE faculty member, and students are encouraged to take advantage of career advising by meeting often with faculty in their interest areas.
