First Time in College

Ready to become a nurse? High school graduates who earn a 3.0 GPA or higher receive direct admission to Radford University's nursing program.

Students who meet ongoing academic requirements will continue through the program and graduate with a BSN.

Requirements to Maintain Direct Admission Status

To stay in the BSN program, students must:

  1. Maintain a minimum cumulative college 3.25 GPA at Radford University.
    1. *Cumulative college GPA will be calculated after 2 consecutive semesters, and then each semester thereafter until progression to upper division*
  2. Earn an overall score of “proficient” on the ATI TEAS exam.

  3. Limit course repeats: Students may repeat or withdraw from no more than two pre-requisite courses.
    1. Only one science can be repeated.
