Veterans Support Team

At Radford University we have faculty, staff and student veterans ready to assist other student veterans, active military and reserve members and military dependents.

The Military Resource Center is here to serve as your primary gateway to other support services. We can help you find the right office and person to assist you with obtaining benefits, finding academic and student life resources, and supportive faculty, staff and students.

Ms. Deanna Mabe, dmabe4@radford.edu is the Director of the Military Resource Center. She is also a career coach in the Center for Career and Talent Development. Her offices are in the MRC, on the fourth floor of Russell Hall, and the Center on the third floor of Russell Hall.

Dr. George Santopietro, gsantopi@radford.edu is the Assistant Provost for Academic Operations and Professor of Economics. He assists Ms. Mabe in MRC operations and is available for academic advising for veteran, active duty and reserve students. His office is Martin 237.

The Military Task Force is composed of veteran faculty and staff who provide advice and guidance for operations at the Military Resource Center.

The Office of the Registrar assists students with certification and transferring credit.

Ms. Gail Wright, gwright@radford.edu is the VA Certifying Official.

Ms. Andrea Repass, alrepass@radford.edu evaluates Joint Services Transcripts.

The Office of Admissions assists students with applying to Radford University.

Ms. Opal Merchant, comerchant@radford.edu is the Associate Director of Admissions and works on assisting transfer students with the admissions process. Since most of our veteran students enter with transfer credit, they are considered transfer students. Detailed information about the transfer process is available at Transfer Applicant Requirements.

The Center for Accessibility Services, located on the third floor of Russell Hall, cas@radford.edu, serves and supports students, family members and visitors seeking reasonable accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act.
