Test Preparation

The Teaching Resources Center (TRC) does not offer tutoring for required tests, but does have books and CD-ROMs on various subjects to help patrons prepare, including:

The TRC has study materials for the following Praxis II tests:

  • Art
  • Audiology
  • Earth and Space Sciences
  • Elementary Education content areas
  • High School Math
  • Middle School content areas
  • Physical Education and Health
  • Social Studies content knowledge
  • Special Education
  • Speech Language-Pathology

DIE CUT MACHINE

The TRC is equipped with a die-cut machine that is available to all students and faculty. To use the machine you must:

  • Provide your own paper (card stock, construction, regular).
  • Check on availability at TRC circulation desk.

TRC Computer Lab

The computer lab in the TRC has 15 workstations that are connected to the university’s network with full internet access.  The current software used by the University and additional special software used in the College of Education and Human Development classes. The lab contains two flatbed digital scanners that are available for graphic scanning, as well as a black and white and color laser printer. The lab is open to all students, faculty and public patrons.

C144 Computer Lab

The computer lab in Peters C144 has 27 workstations that are connected to the university’s network with full internet access.  The current software used by the university and additional special software used in the College of Education and Human Development classes. The lab contains five flatbed digital scanners that are available for graphic scanning, as well as a black and white laser printer. The lab is used for Radford University classes and special reservations.  When the lab is not reserved for a class or an event, it is open to students.
