Pilates Instructor Training with Jaclyn Forrester

  • $600 for community members | $450 for Radford students

  • Niche Pilates Studio will offer two weekends of Pilates Instructor Training. The first weekend will focus on Pilates Fundamentals and Alignment and the second weekend will focus on Pilates Exercises and Group Class Programming.

Pilates Fundamentals and Alignment

January 25-27, 2019 | Friday 12pm-4pm | Saturday & Sunday 10am-4pm

Focus on basic fundamentals of anatomy, biomechanics and proper alignment; all necessary tools to become a successful Pilates instructor. This course uses movement and practical role play scenarios to assist new instructors as they fine tune their eye for necessary modifications, amplifications, props and cues that allow their clients to have the best experience possible. Understanding these fundamentals and learning practical movement patterns prepares instructors to be excellent at problem solving, goal setting and learning new exercise techniques with ease. 

Pilates Exercises and Group Class Programming

February 15-17, 2019 | Friday 12pm-4pm | Saturday & Sunday 10am-4pm

Progress your Pilates knowledge with a course dedicated to learning Pilates exercises and functional movement patterns. During this course you will acquire an in depth knowledge of each exercise including- breath patterns, choreography, muscles working and how to modify the exercises for your clients. We focus on learning the exercises well and then applying them to a create a class with purpose and fluidity.

BODYPUMP 108 Initial Instructor Training

February 9-10, 2019 | 8am-6pm both days

BODYPUMP™ is a barbell workout for anyone looking to get lean, toned and fit – fast. Using light to moderate weights with lots of repetition, BODYPUMP gives you a total body workout. It will burn up to 540 calories**. Instructors will coach you through the scientifically proven moves and techniques pumping out encouragement, motivation and great music – helping you achieve much more than on your own! You’ll leave the class feeling challenged and motivated, ready to come back for more. BODYPUMP is available as either a 55, 45 or 30-minute workout.

CXWORX 34 Initial Instructor Training

March 30-31, 2019 | 8am-6pm both days

Exercising muscles around the core, CXWORX™ provides the vital ingredient for a stronger body. A stronger core makes you better at all things you do, from everyday life to your favorite sports - it’s the glue that holds everything together. All the moves in CXWORX have options, so it’s challenging but achievable for your own level of fitness. During the 30-minute workout trained instructors guide you through correct technique as you work with resistance tubes and weight plates, as well as body weight exercises like crunches, and hovers. You will also get into some hip, butt and lower back exercises.
