Get Active with Radford FitWell
There are so many ways to get active and feel great while at Radford University. Being physically active can help you manage stress, sleep better, learn more, and help combat anxiety, depression, and sickness. We want to help you find out what you enjoy doing to stay active!
Our mission is to create healthier, happier, and more successful students at Radford University.
We do this by offering quality programs, knowledgeable staff, and student development and education that enhance physical and mental performance, provide education and development, and foster long-term healthy lifestyle choices. We also strive to create an environment that is welcoming, inclusive, responsive and inspiring for its participants.
Working out in a group is a great way to try new things, get motivated, and challenge yourself! Offering a wide variety of classes allows you to find something that you enjoy. With over 70 classes a week to choose from, you'll never get bored. Our instructors will motivate, challenge, and help you no matter what your fitness level.
Strength training is a great way to get fitter, stronger, healthier, prevent injury, and feel like you can tackle any challenge ahead of you! Our weight room offers top-of-the-line equipment including Olympic Lifting platforms, free weights, bench areas, plate-loaded equipment, and specialized pieces to get you in peak condition. Come talk to our Fitness Specialists to learn how to get started, have your form checked, ask for a spot, or acquire a high-five!
Looking for a more individualized experience? Our Personal Trainers are prepared to work with you on your specific goals. Learn new workout programs, proper form, and health tips from your trainer. Your trainer will provide motivation, accountability, and education you can take with you for the rest of your life. Sessions start at $20 an hour and include a free consultation.
The FitWell team takes a holistic approach to health and wellness and strives to promote balance to our participants. We offer multiple Wellness programs and services to target physical, mental, social, emotional, environmental, academic, spritual, and financial wellness. We also collaborate with several departments to help promote other health/wellness services on campus.
