Panchita the pig
Panchita is a collared peccary, a wild pig that lives in the Amazon rainforest of Peru. Like many young animals of the rainforest, she was separated from her family by logging and hunting. Panchita lives with the people at the Las Piedras Biodiversity Station where students on the Radford Amazonian Research Expedition (RARE) met her.
