U.S. News & World Report released its 2024 Best Online Program Rankings on Feb. 7.

“We are pleased to see that Radford University is recognized once again among national institutions for its affordable, flexible and accessible online degree programs. Many success stories have come from our online bachelor’s degree programs, which have consistently provided non-traditional students with opportunities to enhance their career trajectories,’ said Radford University President Bret Danilowicz. “We are proud to see the national recognition of our College of Education and Human Development. Radford’s commitment to offering innovative master’s degree pathways for teachers elevates the experience of Virginia’s K-12 students and strengthens our reputation as a premier institution for educators in the commonwealth. Once again, the Davis College of Business and Economics and its outstanding faculty and programs have earned a well-deserved national ranking. Prospective students can trust that a Radford online MBA, backed by globally recognized accreditation credentials, will prepare them to excel as leaders.”

In the Best Online MBA Programs, Radford tied for No. 129, and in the Best Online Bachelor’s Degree programs category, the university placed in the No. 262-339 slot, a jump ahead from a year ago when the university landed in the No. 272-359 range. Overall, Radford ranked in a tie for No. 201 in the Best Online Master of Education programs, up from 227 in 2023.

To compile the overall rankings for the Best Online Bachelor’s Degree programs, U.S. News examined each college and university’s engagement, services and technologies, faculty credentials, training and peer assessment. U.S. News used those same categories, plus student excellence, to determine the Best Online Master of Education programs.

“U.S. News selects factors, known as ranking indicators, to assess each program,” in the categories outlined above, the media company explained when announcing the rankings. “A program's score for each ranking indicator is calculated using data that the program reported to U.S. News in a statistical survey and a peer assessment survey.”
