Radford University Board of Visitors to Hold Quarterly Meetings Sept. 7 and 8

The Radford University Board of Visitors will hold its quarterly meetings on Thursday, Sept. 7 and Friday, Sept. 8 in Room 340 of Kyle Hall (701 Fairfax Street) in Radford.

In addition to the scheduled meetings, board members will be given an opportunity to preview a pair of emerging university facilities. On Wednesday, Sept. 6, the board will tour the Artis Center for Adaptive Innovation and Creativity, located along Main Street on the north edge of the main campus. The Artis Center remains under construction and is projected to open in 2024.  On Thursday, Sept. 7, board members will visit The HUB at Radford, which is currently open for administrative use. The HUB at Radford, located on Main Street in the former SunTrust Bank building, will be the home of the Division of Economic Development and Corporate Education, including the Vinod Chachra IMPACT Lab, and will support economic growth in the region by connecting businesses, local governments and community partners while fulfilling the economic development goals of the university.

On Thursday’s agenda, board committees will conduct meetings and hear updates from university officials. Meeting times are approximate:

  • 8 a.m., New Member Orientation, Part II
  • 9 a.m., Business Affairs and Audit Committee
  • 10:45 a.m., Enrollment Management and Brand Equity Committee
  • 1 p.m., Academic Excellence and Student Success Committee
  • 2:30 p.m., Student Affairs and Athletics Committee
  • 3:45 p.m., External Engagement Committee

In addition, the Executive Committee will meet on both Thursday and Friday at 8 a.m. in the Dean’s Conference Room, Room 301 of Kyle Hall.

The full board will meet beginning on Friday, Sept. 8, at 9 a.m. in Kyle 340. A public link to view the live stream of the full board meeting will be available on the Board of Visitors website.
