Radford University and RUC online bachelor’s degree programs ranked among nation’s best

Radford University’s five online bachelor’s degree programs ranked No. 19 out of 50 in a nationwide listing of the Best Online Colleges and Universities for 2021 by College Consensus, a college ratings website that aggregates publisher rankings and student reviews.

Radford’s online and hybrid bachelor’s programs include the Bachelor of Business Administration online degree completion program and four programs offered by Radford University Carilion: the Bachelor of Science in Emergency Services; the Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences; the Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration; and the Bachelor of Science in Public Health.

“Today, the most prestigious colleges and universities – from the Ivy League to research giants like MIT and Stanford – offer online programs. The best accredited online colleges for undergraduates are some of the best colleges, period,” College Consensus says on its website.

Radford was one of only two schools in Virginia to be named to the list; the other is George Mason University. Other institutions with programs ranked by the list include the University of Florida, the University of Illinois at Chicago, New York University, George Washington University and the University of Missouri at Columbia.

College Consensus compiled its list by aggregating official rankings from trusted publishers — which in Radford’s case included U.S. News & World Report, Washington Monthly and Money magazine — with student reviews from such websites as Unigo, Cappex, Niche and My Plan. In addition, schools on the top 50 list were required to offer at least three bachelor’s degree or bachelor’s completion programs in an online or hybrid format.
