Virtual Election Day Panel featuring political experts planned for November 3

Election Day is upon us, and faculty with Radford University’s College of Humanities and Behavioral Sciences (CHBS) are ready to analyze the results.

A special Election Day Panel will be held virtually on November 3, featuring professors from the departments of communication and political science.

Panelists include:

Allyson Yankle, Ph.D., assistant professor of political science; discussing the role of the courts in the election;

John Brummette, Ph.D., professor of communication, discussing the social media strategy of the candidates;

Daniel Reed, Ph.D., associate professor of political science, discussing the Electoral College; and

Scott Dunn, Ph.D., associate professor of communication, discussing media coverage of election night.

The panel starts at 4 p.m. on Zoom. Email Dunn at for the link or to register to attend in person.

Brummette will also be collecting social media data in the SMART Lab, located in CHBS 3021. Stop by between 5 and 8 p.m. to see the lab in action.
