Students asked to donate unwanted items during move-out week
Goodwill Edgar Box

Radford University Sustainability and Recycling, in conjunction with Goodwill Industries of the Valleys, are encouraging students to donate their unwanted items to charity instead of tossing the items into the trash while moving out of residence halls.

Beginning May 7, Goodwill Edgar donation boxes will be placed across the Radford University campus as drop-off points for gently used, unwanted items that can be donated to Goodwill. Donations can be made at the Edgar boxes between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. through May 9.

Goodwill Edgar donation boxes will be located at:

  • Moffett Quad
  • Muse Hall
  • Washington Hall
  • Between Peery Hall and Floyd Hall
  • Between Walker Hall and Norwood Hall

Accepted items include: clothes, shoes, accessories, books, computers, games, toys, small electronics, household goods, furniture, sporting equipment and more.

Donations also provide items for Goodwill to resell, at an affordable price, to the people of the New River and Roanoke valleys. Ultimately, donations support Goodwill’s job training and community employment programs for youth, adults and seniors.
