Radford University announces the Highlander Cheer Contest
Students, are you passionate about Radford University?
Is your favorite color Radford Red or a nice Tartan? Do you want the chance to be a part of Radford history and win $1,500*?
If so, enter the Radford University Highlander Cheer Contest!
Many colleges across the country have a special yell or cheer that represents the essence and spirit of the school. We want to do the same at Radford.
Whether you are at the Dedmon Center cheering on our athletic teams or attending a campus event, this cheer will be known by all Highlanders and a way to show our connection to our school and to each other.
To Enter
Students must be enrolled full-time at the time of submission.
The cheer does not require music but can be “timed” to a particular cadence/rhythm. Submissions should not include any profanity and should be family-friendly. All cheers must be in good taste and positively reflect Radford University. The cheer must be submitted by Sept. 24 at 11:59 p.m. Submissions will be reviewed by a committee of students and university staff.
*The winning student will be awarded $1,500 in Coca-Cola products credit. Some of the selections include: apparel, speakers and headphones, a Trek Mountain Bike, grills, Apex 16CF Golf Iron Set and a Titleist Golf Bag.
