Note of Sadness to the Radford Family

Dear Radford Family:

It is with deep sadness that I share the news that our dear colleague, Marie Testerman, passed away earlier this afternoon.

Marie began her tenure at Radford University in June 2008 and was most recently serving as the Accounts Payable Supervisor. In 2011, Marie was awarded the Bea Covington Award for “consistently demonstrating a positive attitude, fun to be around and treats others with dignity, respect and kindness.” She was well-known and highly-respected for her steadfast commitment to fellow colleagues and her dedicated leadership of the Staff Senate. I know that the Radford family will deeply miss Marie, especially her warm heart and thoughtful assistance.

Please join me as we extend our heartfelt sympathy and lasting prayers to Marie’s husband, R. L., her son and Radford University student, Trevor, and her daughter, Chelsie. She will be truly missed by her family and all of us at Radford University.
