Savor the look, sound and taste of home to Radford’s international students at the 26th annual International Banquet April 8.

The looks, sounds and taste of home to Radford’s international students will be on display at the 26th annual International Banquet on Saturday, April 8 at 6 p.m. in the Muse Banquet Hall.

The annual gathering of Radford’s international family, sponsored by the International Student Affairs Council (ISAC) and the International Education Center, will feature global fashion, music, dance and food.

Tickets are free with a valid ID for RU students and admission for the general public is $7. There are specially priced childrens’ tickets as well. Tickets are on sale now at the Bonnie Information Desk.

The night of international music, food and socializing will reflect the roots of Radford’s international students who come from countries such as Spain, India, Ethiopia, Korea and Thailand. ISAC is a council of the RU Student Government Association that serves as the voice of the international students, assists them with their transitions and introduces their cultures to the Radford community.

“Last year, over 500 people came to the dinner, so it is a most popular annual student event,” said Bismark Amofah, a senior chemistry major from London. “It is a fun way to highlight Radford’s diversity and cultural richness and share our native countries’ unique tastes, sounds and visual experiences with our hosts.”

Amofah said the menu will feature 20 international dishes prepared by Radford’s international students in collaboration with the Chartwell’s staff in the Muse Banquet Hall.

For information, contact the International Education Center in Cook Hall 105 or call 831-6200. For tickets, visit the Bonnie Information Desk, call at 831-5420 or purchase tickets online.
