Career Center STEM Career Fair on tap Feb. 24

For many students, now is the time of the year to secure jobs and internships.

Radford University's Career Center will provide students with a display of the opportunities available to them within the science and technology fields at the STEM Internship and Career Fair on Feb. 24.

The STEM Internship and Career Fair will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the main floor of the new Center for the Sciences. More than 30 organizations representing the public and private sector will participate.

Students will have the opportunity to polish their interview skills and gather industry information from employers such as Dish Network, IBM, Virginia Space Grant Consortium, Virginia State Police and Wells Fargo, among others.

The fair will be a forum where students can learn information about the companies, network with potential employers and identify potential opportunities, according to Carolyn Sutphin, career center events coordinator.

The Career Center will hold their next career fair on March 18, featuring employers within the education field. For more information, visit the Career Center website.
