A Multicultural Dance Celebration will highlight the finale of Radford University's RU READS: One Campus, Many Voices.

The reading campaign encouraged members of the campus community to share a story that aided in their understanding of race, gender, nationality, ethnic group, abilities and disabilities, religion, geographic origin or sexual orientation.

Participants were chosen from a pool of essay entries collected during the fall semester. They include RU students (undergraduate and graduate), faculty and staff. Each person is featured on a poster with their chosen book and a sentence on how the particular text had made a lasting impression. Participants are also featured in a short video in which they talk about their chosen book.

The closing celebration will be held April 10 on the McConnell Library Lawn from 4 to 6 p.m. There will be music by DJ Craig Arthur and free food and beverages.

The event is sponsored by McConnell Library, R-SPaCE, the Office of the Provost and the Center for Diversity and Inclusion.
