President Kyle's letter to campus

Dear Radford University Community,

It gives me great pride to announce to the Radford University community that our Provost Sam Minner has been selected to be the next president of New Mexico Highlands University in Las Vegas, New Mexico. We learned today that the Board of Regents of New Mexico Highlands University announced that Dr. Minner will begin his service as their university’s next president on July 1st.

It is an unparalleled opportunity to serve as a university president, and I know that this is a goal that Sam has aspired to achieve over the course of his career in higher education. I congratulate him on being selected for this most rewarding leadership position.

Since his arrival in July 2011 as Radford University’s Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, Sam’s insight, vision and leadership have contributed to many of our successes in enrollment, new academic programs, online course expansion, high impact practices, and the reaffirmation of RU’s accreditation with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.

Please join me in congratulating Sam on this outstanding career opportunity and wishing Sam and Joan all the best in this next chapter in their lives.
