School of Nursing Honors Graduates

Radford University School of Nursing master’s degree graduates Elizabeth Armstrong of Covington and Kelly Russell of Hillsville received top honors during the spring banquet on April 21. The ceremony honored 10 students receiving master’s degrees in nursing.

Armstrong received the Outstanding Graduate Student Award. Russell received the Outstanding Scholarly Project Award. Both completed the family nurse practitioner concentration.

Awards were given to bachelor’s degree graduates in nursing during the pinning ceremony on May 6. Recipients were Kelsi Jones of Radford, Kitty Parker Smith Award; Jennifer Cartwright of Check, Janet Hardy Boettcher Nursing Excellence Award; Rebekah Lewis of Appomattox, Marcella J. Griggs Excellence in Geriatric Nursing Award; Catherine Furry of Salem, Maggie Bassett Excellence in Community and International Nursing Award; and Linda Laws of Galax and Mary Smith of Bassett, Mildred A. Hopkins Excellence in Nursing Award.
