    Radford University is joining hundreds of universities, colleges, high schools and faith organizations on March 30 for a one-day worldwide teach-in focused on climate solutions and justice. The event is designed to mobilize members of the campus and surrounding communities toward engaging in critical dialogue about climate issues.

  4. Director of D.P.T. program receives APTA chapter award »

    Professor Kevin Chui, P.T., D.P.T., Ph.D., was named the recipient of the 2022 Mercedes Weiss Service Award by APTA Oregon, a chapter of the American Physical Therapy Association. The award was established in 1976 to publicly acknowledge the outstanding contributions of members of the profession. Chui is program chair of Radford University's Doctor of Physical Therapy (D.P.T.) program.

  7. Radford music faculty join impromptu concert for Ukraine »

    For a couple of months, music faculty from Radford University had been scheduled to perform on March 3 with the NOVA Alexandria Band, a concert band combining the talents of students and faculty in the Northern Virginia Community College system and musicians from the area. What had not been scheduled was Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the subsequent waves of international condemnation for the aggressor and compassion for the Ukrainians.

    Pianist and vocalist Judy Carmichael performed at the Covington Center on Mar. 3, with a mixture of swing and ragtime jazz, standards and originals. But the California native also found time to visit with Radford University students and share life lessons garnered across her time as a professional musician and as the host of a radio show and podcast.
