    Radford University has named Professor of Criminal Justice Nicole Hendrix, Ph.D. as Executive Director of General Education effective May 1, 2020. In this capacity, she will lead the general education efforts, oversee its ongoing integration into undergraduate degree programs at Radford University and serve as a member of the Academic Affairs Leadership Team.

    Recreation, Parks and Tourism Chair Jim Newman is coordinating efforts of several state agencies that are working together to fight the COVID-19 world pandemic. Newman works 12 to 13 hours a day from his home in Radford as a volunteer staff officer with the Virginia Defense Force, one of the three components of the Commonwealth’s military.
