Academic Affairs Policies

Academic policies pertain to those activities falling within the purview of the Provost and Vice-President for Academic Affairs. They deal mostly with matters related to the teaching and professional activities of faculty within the Academic Affairs Division. While many policies and policy changes are reflected in the Undergraduate and Graduate Catalogs, or the Teaching and Research Faculty Handbook, other policies will be posted on the Provost website. The Assistant Provost for Academic Operations maintains the listing of policies. The Academic Policies and Procedures Committee is responsible for reviewing and approval of policy proposals and policy changes. A template for policy proposals is available. Committee approvals are then subject to review and approval by the Provost.

Other departments within Academic Affairs are welcome to add hyperlinks to this page or any of the specific policies.

University policies which affect more than one division and have significant impact upon the University community are maintained by the Office of Policy and Tax Compliance.
