Academic Success Center

The Academic Success Center is comprised of Academic Advising, New Student and Family Programs, and Student Success and Retention. It is your one-stop-shop for first year students!

Campus Safety and Preparedness

The Radford University Police Department is a full-service, sworn, accredited law enforcement agency devoted to the welfare of the University community. The department enforces state laws and Radford University policy on all property owned or controlled by the university, as well as on adjacent streets and sidewalks. Members of the department are dedicated to maintain and improve the safety, security, and quality of life within our community.

The Radford University Office of Emergency Management will provide a safe and secure environment for all faculty, staff, students and visitors coming to the university and will strive to prevent the loss of life and reduce injuries and property damage during natural and man-made incidents/events through emergency management principles of mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery.

Campus Technology

The Division of Information Technology is committed to delivering a strategic advantage to Radford University by fostering creative and innovative use of technology to achieve the University's objectives. The division promotes effective stewardship of information assets and provides a secure, highly reliable technology infrastructure along with high‐quality, customer‐oriented services and support, so as to meet the ever-changing needs of the University community.

Financial Aid

The mission of the Financial Aid Office is to assist students, both prospective and enrolled, and their families in identifying and securing financial aid funds to attend Radford University. The Financial Aid Office also assumes the primary responsibility for institutional compliance with regulations for the distribution of financial aid funds.

Radford University Athletics

The mission of Radford University Athletics is to sponsor a broad-based athletic program that provides educational and athletic opportunities for young men and women to grow and develop, and to serve the interests of the University by complementing and enhancing its diversity and quality of life. Coaches, as educators, are foundational to this process. In keeping with the University's efforts to offer programs of regional and national acclaim, the Department's athletic programs strive for competitive excellence within the Big South Conference or with other similar institutions. Through its athletic programs, the University seeks to unite students, faculty, staff, and alumni in a common and shared experience. The Department seeks to contribute to the diversity of the University by offering opportunities for enhanced racial/ethnic, cultural, and geographic representation..

The REAL Education Model

REAL is a cutting-edge, innovative model that incorporates general education seamlessly into the entirety of a student’s career at Radford University. The REAL Model provides an opportunity for students to meet area requirements through majors, minors and certificates with foundational writing and mathematic requirements added to promote academic success. The fundamental learning areas of the REAL Model that all students will encounter prior to graduation from Radford University are scientific or quantitative REASONING, humanistic or artistic EXPRESSION, cultural or behavioral ANALYSIS and applied LEARNING. The REAL Model is slated to launch in Fall 2021.

The Registrar

We strive to ensure accuracy, security, and integrity of academic records of past and current students.  We are responsible for maintaining many aspects of student records, including transcripts, grades, enrollment verifications, and commencement.  We are also responsible for the course catalog, scheduling classes, and student registration.
