Printing and Scanning
How do I log on to a computer? If you are a Radford University patron (student or employee), log on with your usual Radford University username and password.
How do I print in black-and-white? If you are a Radford University patron, your b&w print job will automatically go to the printer nearest your computer. If you are a public patron, all of your print jobs will automatically go to Pay_For_Print, which is the name of the printer at the Front Desk.
How do I print in color? If you are a Radford University patron, send your color print job to Pay_For_Print. Go to the Front Desk and ask for your printout. If you are a public patron, all of your print jobs will automatically go to Pay_For_Print.
How long is my document? Go to the File menu and select Print Preview.
How much does printing cost? If you are printing duplex (both sides of each page), you will be charged 5 cents per side for black and white, and 50 cents per side for color. If you are printing simplex (one side of each page), you will be charged 7 cents per page for black and white, and 52 cents per page for color. Library printers default to duplex printing.
How much printing money do I have? If you are a Radford University patron, you can see your printing balance from My RU. Go to the Finances tab and check your printing balance. Once you have used up your printing money, you can print directly from your RU Express account.
