Melanie Fox, M.A.

As the Interim Associate Director of Institutional Effectiveness and Quality Improvement, Melanie Fox supports the university’s efforts to plan and implement meaningful assessments across multiple learning environments to ensure that the assessment results inform improvements to advance student learning. She assists faculty and departments with assessment, reporting, and utilizing data of academic programs and academic support services. She also helps coordinate the assessment process for the Core Curriculum, Radford’s general education program. Her experience spans almost 20 years of higher education teaching and administration and she previously was a full-time CORE instructor. She has also worked as a senior technical editor in the area of advanced technology research and development. She holds undergraduate degrees in English and French from Indiana University and a master’s degree in English from Iowa State University. Her goal is to engage administrators, faculty, and staff in initiating and supporting communities of practice in assessment and student learning.
