Jessica Stowell, PhD
Jessica Stowell has over 16 years experience in higher education teaching and administration. She holds a bachelor's degree in Psychology from Tennessee Wesleyan College and a Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology with a specialization in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of Tennessee Knoxville. Her 16 years of higher education experience includes Institutional Research, Institutional Effectiveness, Accreditation and the Registrar’s office. In these offices her leadership experience includes cultural change and improvement of processes leading to faster response times and increased user satisfaction. She has led or served on the leadership team for 3 decennial reaffirmations with SACSCOC and has experience with AACSB, NCATE, ABET and CCNE. She has also served for 16 years as a peer reviewer and more recently as a committee chair for the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges. Her goal is to lead cultural change turning a culture of audit into a culture of continuous improvement and to increase the use and transparency of assessment data.
