Updated Instructions for Wage Continuation EPAF

Please check out the updated instructions for wage continuation EPAFs on the HR website. This will help supervisors achieve a smoother process of submitting wage continuation EPAFs.

If you have any questions, please email hr@radford.edu.

Timesheet Approvals

There are still supervisors who do not have a proxy set up to approve timesheets in their absence. If you do not have a proxy set up, please be sure to designate a proxy before the next timesheet deadline.

Tuition Waiver Due Date Reminder

Employee tuition waiver requests for each semester are due in Human Resources on or before the add/drop date for the semester or session as listed in the Academic Calendar.

Tuition waiver requests received in Human Resources after the add/drop date for each semester or session will be returned without further action. HR determines eligibility for tuition waivers and forwards all Employee Tuition Waiver Request forms to Student Accounts. Employees planning to enroll in a class using their fee waiver may not register until the first day of classes and must register through the Office of the Registrar rather than online. This policy ensures tuition-paying students have access to classes before those who are receiving fee waivers. If you have any questions, please contact the Department of Human Resources at 540-831-5008 and ask to speak to Benefits or send an email to benefits@radford.edu.

Voluntary Contributions – VRS Hybrid Members

Have you signed up to make voluntary contributions? In addition to mandatory contributions, members may contribute up to 4 percent in voluntary contributions to the defined contribution component of the Hybrid Retirement Plan. This is a great way to save for your retirement ― saving a little more now can make a big difference by the time you retire.

For more information, go to Voluntary Contributions or call the Department of Human Resources at 540-831-5008.

Cash Match Plan

Are you taking advantage of the cash match plan? Eligible employees who make a contribution to an approved 403b tax deferred annuity or the 457 deferred compensation plan are eligible to participate in the Commonwealth of Virginia’s Cash Match Plan. Employees will receive each pay period, the lesser of $20 or 50% of the employee’s contribution amount. Employees enrolled in the VRS Hybrid Retirement Plan must make the maximum 4% voluntary contribution to the defined contribution component of the plan in order to receive a match on contributions to your employer 457 or 403(b) plans.

For more information, call the Department of Human Resources at 540-831-5008.

SAVE THE DATE – 2018 Employee Benefits Fair
