New Process for Separation Checklists – Effective the First Week of July 2018
Human Resources, in coordination with the Division of Information Technology and several other campus departments, has created a more efficient process in regards to separation checklists for all employees. Effective the first week of July 2018, a separation checklist will be required for all separating employees, to include full-time, wage, students, work study, work scholarship, and graduate assistants. A new student employee separation checklist has been created for student employees.
As part of this change, separation EPAFs will no longer be required for wage employees separating at a defined job end date. Student wage, temporary wage, graduate assistants and work study/work scholarship positions all have a defined job end date. Supervisors will automatically receive an email 14 calendar days from the employee’s job end date with information to either complete a separation checklist or complete a wage continuation EPAF. A separation EPAF will be required for all full-time and 1500-hour wage employees as well as other employees separating from their position prior to the job end date. For more information, read the employee separation/transfer procedures.
