Our Turn HR Sessions

HR Roadmap is a brief session on navigating the tools and resources offered in the Human Resources Department here at Radford University. Join us as we journey through several items, including: the department website, meet our staff and more.

  • Tuesday, January 8, 2019 @ 3:00 p.m. in Young 221

I-9 Compliance Workshop will go over the rules and best practices of employee verification. Radford University is required to complete an I-9 form for every person hired and must update these forms when necessary. If the I-9 forms are not completed correctly and an audit is conducted, Radford University may be fined, even if all employees are legally authorized to work in the USA. This presentation will address up-to-date I-9 compliance requirements and a basic I-9 document review.

  • Wednesday, January 9, 2019 @ 3:00 p.m. in Young 221

Please register for the Our Turn HR sessions through the CITL Registration System.

HR Deadline Dates for Personnel Actions

Our goal is to assist the campus community by processing personnel actions in a timely manner to ensure prompt payment. All personnel actions for new hires, rehires, or paperwork affecting an employee’s pay should be received in Human Resources on or before the dates listed in the table below:

Employee Type

Pay Date

Pay Period Dates

Date Paperwork/ Personnel Actions should be received in HR

Actions/paperwork received after the deadline dates will be processed on the next available pay date. REMINDER: Due to the volume of personnel actions, HR’s turnaround time for personnel action requests (PR40s or PeopleAdmin actions) is five (5) work days. New employees are not authorized to begin work until notification from HR has been sent to the departmental supervisor.

Please note the late submission of timesheets could also result in late payments.  Please visit the Payroll website for due dates.

Performance Evaluations for 2017-2018

For those who have not completed the performance evaluations for 2017-2018, please complete them by February 15, 2019.  The system will need to be closed out at that time.
