Cardinal Payroll Project

The Cardinal Payroll Project will replace CIPPS (Commonwealth Integrated Payroll and Personnel System) over the next two years.  This project leverages the Commonwealth’s investment in Oracle’s PeopleSoft application and will allow for full integration to the Cardinal Financials application.

By replacing CIPPS with Cardinal, the risks associated with the current aging system are reduced.  Cardinal will meet the majority of the Commonwealth’s payroll business requirements and will provide robust reporting tools and capabilities.

Banner 9 Upgrade

The Banner 9 Upgrade is a campus wide initiative to complete the upgrade of our Banner environment from Banner 8 to Banner 9. According to Ellucian, “Banner 9 by Ellucian is no ordinary upgrade. It delivers a fresh user experience, all-new tools, and significantly improved capabilities across Banner, driving new efficiencies”

PeopleAdmin SelectSuite Implementation

What is PeopleAdmin? PeopleAdmin is the leading provider of online human resource service modules for higher education. It currently supports over 500 Higher Ed institutions and is a collaborative partner with Ellucian.

SelectSuite is PeopleAdmin’s comprehensive web-based talent management suite. It enables organizations to simplify and automate their entire hiring process and track employee performance, while also developing and retaining compliant, defensible audits. It also offers some of the industry's leading reporting tools.

Using the software, higher education institutions can become more efficient, with simplified, standardized talent management applications that also include more granular functions specific to their industry, such as faculty recruiting and search committee management.

The powerful acquisition module includes features for applicant tracking, job requisitions, screening, tracking and on-boarding, as well as performance management and a customized branded job portal. In addition to maintaining a library of approved job posting templates, the system helps organizations provide a defensible audit trail with standardized reports that can be flexed to show EEO compliance data, historical analytics and varied metrics.

In February 2017, the Department of Human Resources embarked on a project to upgrade its online recruitment system, PeopleAdmin, to the next version called SelectSuite

The implementation will be a phased approach beginning with applicant tracking and position management and progressing to build interfaces with Banner.

The Applicant Tracking and Position Management modules for Staff, Administrative Professional Faculty, Adjuncts and 1500 hour wage went live August 2017. And Teaching Faculty went live September 2017.

PeopleAdmin Performance Management Implementation

The Department of Human Resources upgraded its Performance management system to the next version. The PeopleAdmin Performance Management Module is a simple, easy-to-use tool that automates the technical aspects of performance management as well as the facilitation of employees and supervisors to collaborate on performance evaluations, support professional development and clearly communicate expectations, goals, roles and responsibilities … all while maintaining compliance.

The Performance Management module went live December 2017.
