Educational Benefits

The University Registrar's Office provides information for all Veteran benefits and their dependents.  Their Office processes all official certification of enrollment and program changes to the Department of Veterans Affairs in Buffalo, N.Y.  Please visit their website for full details.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

Employees who are participating in one of the health plans offered by the state can take advantage of an Employee Assistance Program (EAP). These services offer counseling sessions for employees and their dependents with up to four sessions at no charge. t

    • Veterans' Employment and Training Service: VETS is committed to helping America's Veterans by preparing them for civilian careers, providing employment resources, and protecting their employment rights.  
    • VETS - The Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA) prohibits employers from discriminating against any Veteran or service member because of their military obligation. This law requires that employers provide reemployment rights after a period of active duty or training. The USERRA's website provides assistance to those that may be experiencing issues as it relates to their military service with their civilian employment.
    • Understanding Your Employment Rights Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA): A Guide for Veterans can assist with any questions regarding rights as an injured Veteran. It also explains the kinds of accommodations are available to help.
