Dr. Fuhrer Publishes in The Journal of Physical Chemistry A
Dr. Tim Fuhrer published a paper in The Journal of Physical Chemistry A on “Density Functional Theory Investigation of Fulvene-Derivatized Fullerenes as Candidates for Organic Solar Cells”. Jordan Snelgrove (Chemistry/Physics RU Class of 2015) aided in the parameterization of a hybrid density functional specifically for the use in computing electrical band gaps of fullerenes and endohedral metallofullerenes which aided in this work. He completed this work during a Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship funded by the Office of Undergraduate Research and Scholarship at Radford University. Great job to both Jordan and Dr. Fuhrer on this accomplishment.
