Dr. Balija Published Manuscript in BMC Chemistry
Dr. Amy Balija published her work entitled “Biorenewable Triblock Copolymers Consisting of L-Lactide and ε-Caprolactone for Removing Organic Pollutants from Water: A Lifecycle Neutral Solution” in BMC Chemistry. This paper discusses how polymers prepared from renewable resources can selectively remove small organic pollutants from water. These polymers remove the pollutants as effectively as currently commercially available systems. The work was completed with the help of a first-generation undergraduate freshman chemistry major.
