(540) 831-5310

Courses Taught:

  • Chem 324 - Analytical Chemistry
  • Chem 465 - Forensic Chemistry
  • Chem 481 - Undergraduate Research

Research Interests:

My research focuses on the development of bioinspired materials for drug delivery applications. I am interested in studying the design and synthesis of supramolecular hydrogels along with the subsequent loading and release of therapeutics. This project incorporates a combination of peptide synthesis, biochemistry, and analytical techniques. Another interest of mine is to study the water chemistry of the New River Valley. Chromatography techniques are utilized to quantify the presence of small molecules, such as industrial byproducts and hormones.
