RUC students present at national meeting and win research award
Thomas H. Ausburne and Kaung S. Lin attended Entomological Society of America (ESA)-eastern branch annual meeting in Providence, RI from March 18-20, 2023 and represented RU well.
They presented their research entitled, “First report on molecular detection of Nosema spp. in honeybees (Apis mellifera) of Nepal."
They completed this work under mentorship of Dr. Bhatta.
Thomas Ausburne (presenting author) took second place prize among the undergraduate poster competition session.
Thomas is also an awardee of a Biology Research Award 2023 and a Student Undergraduate Research Fellowship Award 2023.
